“We date, therefore we text”

Deb and Liv moved to New York City together a little over three years ago and each began their journey as hard-working girls, making a name for themselves in their chosen careers, while simultaneously looking for love, friendship, and fashion. They grew up in the digital age, where being popular is determined by how many friends you have on the latest social media network and how many text messages you receive per hour. Therefore, they’re always equipped with the latest and greatest gadgets, as it’s a necessity to keep up and communicate with their high-tech peers, and more recently, potential suitors.
As savvy flirts, these two “digitalistas” quickly picked up on the fact that texting was becoming the new first step in dating, so they wrote the popular “how-to” guide on this social phenomenon called Flirtexting™. Far from being “geeks,” they mastered this digital trend and have become experts in the digital age, giving them the title, “Digital Abby’s.” They never dream of leaving home without two blackberries (one to talk, one to email), their iPods, mini video cameras (you never know when a YouTube moment is going to strike), and lip gloss.
Olivia Baniuszewicz was raised by her eastern European parents in the suburbs of the Garden State. Always a city girl at heart, she made her way to Boston University and graduated with a B.S. in Communications. Upon graduation, Liv jetted to New York City where she worked as an account executive for several internationally acclaimed fashion houses until she realized her closet could no longer fit another wrap dress. She made a jump into the world of publishing where she currently works on charity projects and book publicity. Her flirtexts™ are based out of New York.
Debra Goldstein is from Georgia. She says “ya’ll,” drinks sweet tea, and appreciates good manners. She attended college at the University of Arizona (go Wildcats!) and then moved to Los Angeles where she started a personal shopping company called Fern Estelle. Her business brought her to New York City in 2006, where she thrived in the fashion industry until Flirtexting took over her social life, and shortly after, her career! Currently she is working on all things Flirtext™, including more books, TV shows and a possible movie, with co-author and BFF, Olivia. Her flirtexts™ are based out of New York City.
